Crossing the Finish Line

Well I made it with plenty time to spare, I have finished my Olympic challenge to knit my first pair of socks. Here they are in rather badly lit photo:

Im really pleased with them, very comfy (if a little small in the foot for me). Plus I have enough yarn leftover to make a pair of baby socks. Now all I need is to find a baby to knit them for!

congrats :) oh, and a big congrats on the masters course! I'm at a weird transitional phase (thinking about masters) where 'some sense of direction' would be SO nice! :D

I got a package from Curious Yarns today :) The Heathertop is lovely, not quite as bright as the photos on their website but lovely dusky purples and greens. I'm really pleased I oredered it. Let me know if you'll be at the Fourth next week so I can give you your skein.

Now these socks look wonderful! I did pick up some free sock patterns the other day at a new craft/yarn store I went too so my plan is to finish all the projects I have on the go now, then get busy on learning how to knit socks you have inspired me! I sooo want to be able to knit socks! :)
